| You set the machine up on your kitchen table, shove your head into it, and press the button. Red light fills your vision and the scent of your own burning flesh fills your nose. Panic washes over you. You try to extricate yourself from the machine, but it apparently injected you with some sort of short-term paralytic before the eye-burning started.
There's nothing to do but grin and bear it, except the paralytic is also making it so you can't grin. After what seems like an eternity, the machine beeps, the red light fades, the paralytic wears off, and you can move your head again You look around the room. Huh. Things are a little clearer! You get a really good look at the horrible eye surgery machine as you hurl it into the trash can. You acquire a skill: (This skill has automatically been marked Hardcore Permanent.) |
