• There is no in-game hint alluding that the balloon monkey would work in the Perplexing Door. Hidden features like this in video games or other media are often referred to as easter eggs.
• While this item might seem unrelated, the reason it works is because the Perplexing Door works by inserting keys and this is a mon-key. In a Jamaican accent, "man" sounds like "mon," so a "ballon mon key" opens the door to a room where you receive a balloon from a Jamaican guy who calls you mon.
