You're fighting a Knob Goblin Elite GuardAs you're stepping into the barracks, an Elite Guard is stepping out of it. Since his job is to protect the Knob from outsiders, and you're pretty definitely an outsider, and his mother didn't raise any shirkers, he springs into action.
He lunges toward a nearby weapon rack to grab a polearm, but you trip him before he can reach it.
