• The item's description reads "It's a fungi." This is a common pun (read: "fun guy"). The statement "It's a fungi," might even throw some people off seeing as it is seemingly correct (though, technically speaking, "fungi" is the plural form of "fungus," which would be actually correct).
• In the Super Mario games, Mario grows twice his size when he uses a Super Mushroom.
• Also, in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Alice finds two edible mushrooms. One makes her grow to at least twice her size, and the other one makes her shrink very small, both in proportion to how much of the mushroom she eats.
