Can someone who was at KoLCon 2004 & 2005 please add some details, attendance count, and personal anecdotes?

KoLCon (short for KoL Convention) is an annual real-world gathering of KoL players in Tempe, Arizona, USA, where Asymmetric Publications has its global headquarters. To date, there have been two conventions, and a third is presently being planned. Players from all over the United States have attended the first two conventions, and this year's is expected to attract platers from as far away as Australia.

KoLCon is not the only KoL convention, but it is the only official one, and the only one where one is guaranteed to schmooze with the game developers.

KoLCon 2006

This convention is being planned by Xlyinia, and is scheduled for September 15-17, 2006. The official source of information is located at MySpace, and there is also a helpful forum thread on the topic.

Registration has not yet opened. When it does, it will be announced on the KoL main page. Costs have not yet been decided.

Schedule

Friday night will be spent schmoozing at gameworks.

Saturday will be spent at an outdoor barbeque in Tempe Kiwanis Park. Food, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, bring your photo ID if you wish to drink. Please don't bring drugs or hard liquor. Xlyinia is looking at renting evaporative coolers for the park. People with dietary restrictions should bring their own food.

No events have been announced yet for Sunday.

KoLCon 2005

Tickets were available for purchase via the Asmmetric Store.

KoLCon 2004

This was a relatively small gathering. It began on a Thurday, with public Karoke. Friday involved dinner at a Japanese resturaunt, and eventually ended up a Jick's house for random socializing. Saturday is somewhat sporradically documented, but appears to have taken place largely at Jick's. There are photos posted of this con:
