Otori
Motto: "Hovering above the decaying ruins, we are Clan Otori. United as one spirit, we shall surpass all others!"
Founded by ashamalee on 24th August 2004 and currently led by Psyko, Otori is one of the oldest clans in KoL.
To celebrate the anniversary of its founding, during the last week of every August the clan holds Otori Week. Festivities include contests, giveaways, and a chat party inside Otori for invited guests. In recognition of their contribution to the community, the Otorian Battle Scar was created by Jick as a special prize for Otori to give away as prizes during the first Otori week.
Otori also manages the popular buffbots Testudinata and Binary. Testudinata was created with the advent of ascension as a way of merging the services of Otori's previous 3 buffbots, sneaksie the Accordion Thief, DragonSlayersAnon the Turtle Tamer, and leethal the Sauceror. After holatuwol of KoLMafia fame wrote the buffbot engine for her, Testudinata went live in November of 2005, and was the first buffbot to feature all of the game's buffs. Binary was later introduced when more Accordion Thief skills were implemented, because it was decided Testudinata should not sacrifice her high level to ascend and acquire the new skills.
Otori is also known for its continued participation in clan warfare and currently holds the record for Most Clan Warfare Wins.
