Slow and Steady/Strategy

Because turn generation is completely disallowed in this path, all strategies will necessarily focus on turn savings.

Astral Gear/Consumables

The jury is still out on astral gear choices. In a nutshell:

  • The astral belt gives lots of stats, and +ML helps you in the Tavern, Oil Peak and Defiled Cranny. However, with the volleyball, sombrero and ML revamps that rolled out at the same time as S&S, you may not need the stats from the belt. This is going to need some time to investigate.
  • The astral mask is never a bad choice. Everyone needs +item.
  • The astral pet sweater could be a reasonable choice for boosting your fairies, since you cannot use a Fancypants Scarecrow. (If there were a runaway familiar, this would be a top contender, but as of May 2014 there is not a runaway familiar that can be used on this path.)

For consumables, it seems clear you want the astral hot dogs. They give the best stats, which are all you care about in astral consumables. The energy drinks are clearly the worst choice, since they give no stats at all. The pilsners are in between.
