As you're wandering around the Camp Logging Camp, you come across a tree stump with some odd-looking markings on it. Recognizing them as hobo glyphs, you flip open your binder of notes and start decrypting them.
Turns out they say "Warning: hollow trees are not a good place to spend the night. Signed, Stumpy McGee."
Huh. Is that a terrible pun, or something even more disturbing? Well, either way, you make some reluctant notes of it.
Occurs in Camp Logging Camp.
