Talk Like a Pirate Day

The Kingdom informally celebrates International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19 each year. Adventurers of Loathing are encouraged to talk like a pirate in chat and in the forums, and to wear piratey garb when adventuring.

Notes
- Jick has stated that there was nothing random about which players received pirate hooks on Talk Like a Pirate Day I, and that it rolled out as intended, but the exact mechanism is still unknown. Rumors however circulate that it was given to those who said "Arr" in chat.
- On TLaPD III, the can of Binarrrca was not implemented until approximately 10:00-12:00 server time, and, as compensation, was also made available on September 20, 2007.
