Untinker Quest

Description

The Untinker Quest is a quest that is required for you to do a quest later on. The Untinker needs your help retrieving a screwdriver he lost at the Degrassi Knoll.

Tasks

• Visit the Untinker after receiving the Bitchin' Meatcar Quest from your guild. He tells you that he needs his screwdriver, which is in Degrassi Knoll.
• Adventure in the Degrassi Knoll until you acquire the rusty screwdriver from the Screwdriver, wider than a mile. adventure.
  • If the Degrassi Knoll is unavailable (you have ascended with a muscle sign, and can go inside), then Innabox has the screwdriver.
• Bring the screwdriver to the Untinker.

Reward

The Untinker can now untinker (uncombine) any items that have been combined with meat paste. He is, however, unable to unsmith weapons, uncook food, unmix cocktails, or unmake jewelry. Upon untinkering, you do not get your meat paste back.

Text

Before visiting the guild and starting the Bitchin' Meatcar Quest:

"Sorry, Adventurer, but I'm terribly busy. Could you maybe drop by a little later?"

On initial visit:

"Hey, man -- is an adventurer you? I lost my screwdriver somewhere near Degrassi Knoll, but every time I try to get it back, the Gnolls punch me in the eye.

You look pretty tough, though -- do you think you could get it back for me?"

On subsequent visits:

"Have you had any luck finding my screwdriver? I lost it at Degrassi Knoll, you'll recall.

Upon completion:

"Hey! You found my screwdriver! Awesome! If there's anything I can untinker for you, by way of repayment, just let me know."

Notes

• If you have not yet received the Bitchin' Meatcar Quest from your guild, the Untinker will tell you that he is busy and you should come back later.
• To complete Orc Chasm Quest you will need the Untinker's abilities.

References

• "Is an adventurer you?" when the Untinker issues the quest is a reference to the English translation of the game Karnov, which, in its ending, makes the statement "Congratulations! A Winner Is You."
