- Silver is the traditional weakness of werewolves, and silver bullets are often employed in werewolf folklore.
- The description has a couple references to the "Costumes" episode of Upright Citizen's Brigade. Multiple people are killed by a stupid but well-prepared superstitious woman as a result of being mistaken for werewolves. The first is wearing a werewolf mask and is stabbed, then later shot with silver bullets. Another victim is Wolfman Jack's brother.
