Drop increasers and Usable items
Do drop increasers increase the amount of meat or items recieved from inventory usable items like the Penultimate Fantasy chest or old leather wallet? --xcorvis 11:57, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
- I'm almost sure they don't. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 19:36, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
- I want to say that I've seen it happen with the chests and Warm Subject certificates, but it's anecdotal, and I can't confirm it. I also haven't done it in a while. --xcorvis 21:16, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
Cocoabo and NPZR
Is the cocoabo as effective as the NPZR at finding meat? Anyone know the stats? --xcorvis 11:57, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
Wow, for a page created today, I'm actually pretty impressed. It's general, well onganized, and doesn't suck. Sure the stuff is pretty obvious to long-time "power" players, but it's much better than the usual "farming guides" which show up saying "farm the peak" and "send me all your furs", which of course just end up being deleted. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 19:36, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
- Thanks! One of my peeves with the old page was that it was too specific. --xcorvis 21:16, 8 October 2006 (CDT)
31337 Farming at the Orc Chasm?
In softcore, I've had decent luck with farming the Orc Chasm for scrolls (not meat,) especally since the clover "enhancement" pushed clover prices up. 334 scrolls alone are going for about 2000 meat in the mall right now, but making them into 31337 scrolls gives 1-2 clovers (~2500 each in the mall) and some Worthless things that can be traded for more clover. Also, farming gives a bunch of Meat Vortexes that can be used elsewhere, as described in the article, and letter ns which seem to sell very well in the mall. (I suspect that a lot of people put them into WANGs.) After St. Sneaky Pete's day, I might have my main farm there every other day (so she has a chance to use the worthless items) unless the mall prices for clover drop again....--Dawnshadow 16:07, 24 October 2006 (CDT)

I am really liking the middle chamber for NPZR farming. High monster hp, Iiti Kitty drops coin purses and phone charms, and the only non combat can be skipped for no turn loss, freeing a buff slot.--Zourath 16:06, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
Has anyone tested whether The Castle in the Clouds in the Sky is still the best area for ordinary (non-NPZR) Meat farming now that there are new Level-11 and Level-12 areas? --Baltar 16:43, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
Ducks have delightfully high meat drops, but unfortunately they're limited in quantity each day. I tried poking around various areas, but so far the castle still looks pretty good to me. I'll keep looking. --Kazim 14:44, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
You can use the meat vortex on the dirty thieving brigands for an astounding amount of meat. --Iason 03:45, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
- Ooh, good one. I'll try to add that later today. Thanks Iason! --xcorvis 15:18, 20 August 2007 (CDT)
It seems that the Arid Extra Dry Desert has pretty good meat drops, and items with pretty good autosell values. I don't know if the having to stop at the Oasis every 5 turns outweighs benefits though.--Falconinthedive 00:06, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
- It does look pretty good, but that 1/5 turns really kills the amount of meat you get. Anyone want to do some math and make an estimate? --xcorvis 21:11, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
I've got an tactic which I haven't seen which has netted me hundreds of thousands, but I just haven't seen it, and I don't know why. I wasn't too worried about getting the Order of the Silver Wossname medal (though it shouldn't be that hard anyway), so on the hippy side, I didn't do any of the sidequests. I have done all of the quests on the Frat side, so I have a fair amount more frat orcs left than hippies. But since every adventure in the hippy warrior fatigues net one kill, I can take as much time as I want to killing frat warriors, and racking up items that I can sell back to the hippies. Then I turn around and buy nothing but fancy shell necklaces, which autosell for a grand apiece. In one day's worth of fighting (say 75 turns), I can get bare minimum thirty or forty dimes. Forty dimes gets me sixteen fancy necklaces, and autosell for $16,000. If you have Loot Lyric and a well-experienced fairy (and a NZPR would probably be even better), you should really rack up a lot more. Just thought I'd pass that on.--Saxonjf 20:40, 7 November 2007 (CST)
Boss Bat's Lair beefy bodyguard bats yield a high amount of meat with the occasionally avoidance of the boss bat.--Relyk 16:54, 11 November 2007 (CST)
On the Trail
It occurs to me that one could potentially utilize the On the Trail effect to boost Meat drops in areas where certain creatures drop lots of Meat but others don't -- for example, to increase Knott Yeti encounters at The Icy Peak. Preliminary results appear quite promising. Would anyone care to test this theory formally? --Baltar 01:27, 17 January 2008 (CST)
- I didn't test this, but ofcourse this works. My opinion though, is that this can be moved to advanced farming, because it isn't that basic. (Another thing is that the exact effect of On The Trail is not known, maybe you want to add your results in the talk page there too) --Mercantilia 04:20, 17 January 2008 (CST)
easy low level meat farming
I found an easy was for lower level people to farm meat. Beefy bodyguard bat are an easy way to make money for low level characters. Beefy bodyguard bat give 203-296 Meat. So if you have items or skills that increase you meat potential you can be making 800-900 meat per adventure, or possibly more if your completely maxed out for meat modifiers at you level. The only thing is not to kill the bat boss, just run from him because if you kill him you bat farming is over. Also what really helps if you have odor extractors, this greatly increases the amount of guards you see and therefore increases your total meat gain. Also Harold's bell works on the bat boss, so if you have one that equals 20 guard bat fights in a row.
hope this helps,
-Moorezie
Ten-leaf clover
Is it just me, or is the clover not autosell? --YKM 13:29, 25 March 2008 (CDT)
- Er, where in the article does it say that clovers autosell? --Bagatelle 16:39, 25 March 2008 (CDT)
McMilliancuddy's Farm
Seems like a decent place to go and level for 15 adventures, surely deserves a mention in the high level farming.
