Does confused from herb brownies reduce item drop rate?

I haven't kept stats, but when I'm wearing all my best item-getting gear, the item drop rate seems to be reduced dramatically if I adventure with the confused effect. Once it wears off, or is removed with a soft green echo eyedrop antidote the drop rate seems to increase back to normal after a few adventures. ColtsScore 02:32, 3 October 2006 (CDT)
