Not sure how to wiki magic, but instead of the Boss Bat, you have an alternative boss, Steve Van Helsing. Encounter text:

A loud screech echoes throughout the cavern, and you enter the Boss Bat's cave just in time to see it smashed to the ground by a muscular guy in a leather skirt -- who leaps into the lair to catch a glowing red orb, striking a pose as he does so.

"Oh hey," you say. "Looks like you've got this wrapped up already. Thanks!"
The man turns around in surprise. "So! Thou appearst to challenge me already, vile bloodsucking fiend? I had expected to have to face at least four more of thy unholy minions before I could slay thee and return peace to the land!"
"Ooh, um, I'm pretty sure you have me confused with someone else? I mean, I guess I can see why you'd assume the Boss Bat was working for me, but-- aah!" You jump to the side as the guy cracks a long leather bullwhip at your face. "Hey! Cut that out!"
"Enough of your prattle, demon!" he shouts. "I will slay thee and return this curséd island to the hellish mists from which it spawned!"
"What are you even talking about?"

He drops a white money bag, which has no use that I can tell of, other than selling for 1k meat. White money bag: It's a white bag. The money is normal money color. --Jimfromtx (talk) 07:58, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

HP Gain

What is HP based off in this challenge path? it doesn't seem to be Muscle as I've pulled a few Muscle-increasing pieces of equipment but to no avail.

Maybe it's based off off Myst?

EDIT: Oh wait, never mind, it's based off your unbuffed Mus stat. RobuxShooters (talk) 08:44, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, it uses base HP, and I'm pretty sure the only way to increase base HP is to increase base Muscle, meaning to actually level up Musc. I've heard that the permanent progression in this path gives you more base HP in future runs, though. --Prestige (talk) 08:50, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Does adding max HP allow for more skills to be selected from Torpor? Planning to do that by pulling some equipment. RobuxShooters (talk) 10:01, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
I don't think so; only base HP is used to select skills. Of course, more HP will help you survive in combat, so it helps in that way. --Prestige (talk) 10:11, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Ferocity

The ferocity skill on the chart leads to the avatar of boris skill instead of the Dark Gyffte version which is here: http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Ferocity_(skill). I don't know enough about table editing to change it unfortunatelty. Also, They both are skills and are also both passive, so we might need a better, more specific way of destinguishing the two.--Tombot (talk) 23:13, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

I fixed the link. Not sure if the Ferocity pages themselves need renaming; I'll leave that to someone else. --Prestige (talk) 00:00, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

I wasn't sure how to handle the naming when creating the skill page since I wasn't sure of any other cases of two skills having the same name. For the time being I added a note to the avatar of boris skill in case people end up at that page by mistake. If someone thinks the pages should be renamed and knows how to rename them though go for it.--Butterflygirlkmc (talk) 00:24, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Upon further research there is a precedent for this. Both the AoSP and Cow Puncher skills Hard Drinker and Hard Drinker (Cow Puncher) have the same name as well. I could move Ferocity (skill) to a page called "Ferocity (Dark Gyffte)" if others think that would be best.--Butterflygirlkmc (talk) 01:11, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Forms Usage

According to the article, it is stated that you can have multiple forms active at once, with each form only allowing skills in its skill tree to be used. By having 3 forms active at once, doesn't this allow you to have all 3 trees usable on top of the 3 powerful intrinsic effects? RobuxShooters (talk) 17:42, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

  • It's the other way around -- each form prevents use of the other trees, so 3 forms means you can't use any skills.--Ryo_Sangnoir (talk) 18:04, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Dark Gyftte Boss Family Names

It seems like different players have different names for the bosses of this path. The bosses on my own path are part of the 'Barker' family, while the wiki has Belmont and Van Helsing. However, a few clanmates say that the names Bolker, Harsing and Helker have come up as well. Can people post what their bosses' family names are?

Monster manuel entries appear to use the last name assigned for your character, but someone I asked that has done a repeat run said that the name changes between ascensions. Very curious.

Also, how are the bosses named internally? Is it really, say, "Jayden %belmont%"? Their pages ought to get cleaned up, otherwise, to be made consistent. --Volc (talk) 16:54, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

On my first run it was Belmont, on my second it's "van Hurthwait." Speculation: maybe the wordbucket wasn't fully populated when the path first launched, so anybody who started on the first day got only Belmont and van Helsing. --Prestige (talk) 22:14, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
That seems like a possibility.

For the time being, I set up a Belmont family name template over at Template:Belmont; additional names should be added to that wordbucket.

That being said, I suspect that there is a pre-determined list of possible names, but allows for certain consonants/vowels to be randomized (e.g. Barker vs Bolker, Helker vs Yelker, van Helsing vs van Hursing), and it may or may not add the 'van' at the beginning at random. The word bucket will have to be refined, but it should serve as a starting point for now.--Volc (talk) 05:09, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

Reward timing?

Any idea if the Booke will be in-path only, or if it can be obtained at any time? I'm notoriously bad for taking awhile to do this, so wondering if I'll have a ghost of a chance of being able to get all 6 skills. --Jimfromtx (talk) 09:21, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

In-path only, it seems. I finished my latest run earlier on today, no Booke. -- Pineapple of Despair (talk) 13:45, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
