Talk:Doppelshifter

My reference edit isn't showing up on the page...What's up with that?--Teenr0cker 03:21, 1 Oct 2005 (MDT)

  • Hmm it's really odd, even after I purge the old cached page and it takes me to the correct updated page, if I go somewhere else and come back, It'll show the outdated version again. That's not supposed to happen, purge should force the wiki to recreate a new cahed page. --JRSiebz 03:51, 1 Oct 2005 (MDT)

From the 2005-10-03 Jick & Skully Show:

Jick: How does the Doppleshifter work in the Cake Shaped Arena, the doppleshift is just good at everything. Which makes it a little harder to use, but he's good at everything.
...
Jick: Is the doppleshifter named after the Pokemon ditto? No, I know nothing about ditto. I actually bought one for GBA, to learn about it and not emulate it, but it's the most boring game.
  • Since the pokemon reference was proven to be incorrect, why is it still on the main page? Shouldn't it be gone by now? --J12601 13:47, 20 October 2006 (CDT)

Similarity to forum image

Technically, the similarity to the KoL forum sticky image has absolutely nothing to do with KoL, since said image comes directly from the SubSilver theme included with all phpBB 2.x installations. --Quietust 13:58, 1 August 2006 (CDT)

  • I agree, it is a weak reference. I say one more vote before removal of reference and deletion of image.--Dehstil (t|c) 20:33, 1 August 2006 (CDT)
  • Seconded. Nothing uniquely KoL-ish about it. Same way the meat blob in the Haunted Pantry could be called a reference to a sticky. --Alpaca (T/C) 21:14, 1 August 2006 (CDT)

Extra Adventures

Anyone know if the shifter can give you extra advs. i have been watching mine for a while and was wondering if they change back before the code for extra adventurs (via rift or rabbit) and also i have no buffs on recored from my shifter via sweetnut cracker? anythoughts. --LoA 23:52, 6 November 2006 (CST)

i am told the rift does give out adventures, can anyone conferm the rabbit?--LoA 12:25, 7 December 2006 (CST)

I just got done using my shifter for 457 advs. i got two extra adventures from the rift, but non from the rabbit. i saw the rabbit 15 times he/she/it did everything but give out extra adventures, and i had it buffed up to 57 lbs. --LoA 12:10, 19 December 2006 (CST)

also noted while i am messing around with my shifter he will not change into these familars

54. Comma Chameleon
55. Misshapen Animal Skeleton
56. Scary Death Orb
57. Jitterbug
58. Nervous Tick
60. Origami Towel Crane
62. Evil Teddy Bear
63. Toothsome Rock
65. Ancient Yuletide Troll

I have sent in feed back. and i will edit the artical soon to reflect that info. i am up to 24 times for the rabbit and no damned extra advs --LoA 00:56, 20 December 2006 (CST)

I have been using the shifter for a whole run now up to level 10 and still no darn adventure from the rabbit. theses last few times i have been looking at the possiblity that they were getting added but no text showing up. that is not the case. 48 adventures a day each day i looked. which is the right number for me based on my clans rec room. If i use an average of four rabbits a day(which is kinda low i know)that means i have 42 appearances by the rabbit. is that safe enough to say it doesnt give the extra adventures?

i think i willl wait until this whole run is over its only one more level. --LoA 17:39, 1 January 2007 (CST)

here is a typical days worth of data. the way i have familars divided is just for statistical fun later. This data is incomplete, being as i was only watching the wild hare closely before yesterday. it will be updated daily for a while.
