Talk:Ice stein
heard talk it can be used as a teetotaler. confirmation? although its probably just an oversight on jick's part. --Shokwave 08:26, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
Don't know about hardcore/teetotaler usage, but it certainly can't be used when already drunk. Man, I was hoping you could get around the drunkenness limitation this way... --Allanc 09:14, 2 June 2006 (CDT)
Works with Ode to Booze - I got 16 adventures using it with ode today. NateTG 17:23, 25 November 2006 (CST)
Having Ode to Booze in my head: You pull a beer from your six-pack, open it, pour it into the stein, and chug it down. Mmm, frosty! You repeat the process with the second can, then the third... fifth... eighth? By the time the stein has melted away, you've totally lost count of how many beers you drank. You gain 16 Adventures. You gain 36 Muscularity Points. You gain 6 Drunkenness.
Shrugged off Ode to Booze: You pull a beer from your six-pack, open it, pour it into the stein, and chug it down. Mmm, frosty! Either it's random, or Ode works. Not trying again, because I'd overdrink. Maybe I'll try later.VDZ 02:44, 3 March 2007 (CST)
Yes for Teetotaler
I was the one who put that note in, but it was taken out. I'm currently on the Teetotaler path and was able to use the ice stein.
Not anymore for Teetotaler
Just wasted about 70 adventures to finally get my hands on a 6-pack in HCT, tried to use the Ice Stein, but got the "You can't drink booze" message. Either it never has worked, or they fixed it.

References.
I really don't see how sounding like Einstein or Ice nine is a reference to anything. especially since there seems to be very little relevence to these references. -- Gouku 18:32, 4 June 2006 (CDT)
It also sounds like "Rice wine" "Mice sign" "Lice tine"...get the idea? Rhyming does not a reference make, so I took out the Vonnegut reference. Although that is one of my favorite books by him. But it has no place in the references section. --J12601 13:42, 3 November 2006 (CST)
In need of content?
You can't really get more specific about the drop locations on this...It appears that it's just an item in a list of potential drops for the Violet Fog adventure. If you elect to "take the fish," then you receive one of the items. --Mikimis 22:35, 5 June 2006 (CDT)
Wrong.
I tried using the stein with the ode, and I only got 12 turns.
