Talk:Resting
Title
Should this maybe be under "rest" rather than "resting"? If not, please change relax to relaxing! Oh, and either way, make sure there are redirecting placeholders! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Narpas (talk • contribs) at 23:36, 20 June 2005 (Central Daylight Time).
- I changed relax to relaxing. As directed, redirecting placeholder in place! :) --Gymnosophist 21:33, 26 Jul 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

The adventure about the fat boy with an parody outfit is a play on the South Park episode 402 "The Tooth Fairy's Tats 2000". Cartman dressed up as the Tooth Fairy and stole kids teeth to trade them for money. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Johny296 (talk • contribs) at 11:45, 5 July 2006 (CST).
- Seems a bit unlikely to me. Man != boy, accent seems more Jersey than Cartman, etc.--Dorf 03:34, 3 March 2007 (CST)
- Odd. I always thought it was a reference to the Fat Annoyed Guy in Futurama (many episodes, beginning with the second one) who:
- Talks like that (Adds the "s" to the end of most words, like "I don'ts wants noes troubles")
- Has random jobs (Theme park operator, construction worker, etc)
- What does everyone else think? --Jonzay 07:59, 14 July 2007 (CDT)
Dream Occurrences
Think that the rate of each dream's occurrence is worth spading?--Dorf 17:53, 2 March 2007 (CST)
- Everything is worth spading, IMHO. Go for it. --TheDotGamer 02:41, 3 March 2007 (CST)
- All right, I'll start when I can. I may have to set something up like there is for the Klaw game - at most spending 250 or so adventures simply RESTING might still be a bit inconclusive - especially if, God forbid, moons or signs or class or level alters anything. We'll need at least a few contributors, methinks. Write me in-game if you're interested (I haven't done much of this extensively before, but clicking and counting doesn't seem to be much in the way of hard work, just tedious).--Dorf 03:34, 3 March 2007 (CST)
- Has any spading been done on how housing affects dreaming? While not jotting down numbers, I don't think I got a single dream in a NewbieSport tent, but as soon as I made a barskin tent I started getting dreams. Dorf, thanks for what you did, but what housing did you have during it? --Jest Phulin 23:09, 19 December 2007 (CST)
Dorf's Resting Study
CONDITIONS
- Half of the results were obtained with a level 15 Disco Bandit. The second half were obtained with the same Disco Bandit at level 16.
- All adventures spent resting were with few effects, always including Disco State of Mind and rarely including anything else.
- Gear worn while resting remained constant.
- Mouthfuls of loose teeth were always in inventory.

CONCLUSIONS
- Frequency
- Dreams occur approximately (10%) of the time, in no particular order, and can happen immediately after one another or not.
- Each dream has an approximately equal chance of occurring (2%).
- Occurrence of the spooky hockey mask dream is less than (0.1%).
- Effects
- Moons (and therefore stat days) seem to have no overall effect on dream type/frequency.
- Drunkenness seems to have no overall effect on dream type/frequency.
- Suggestions for further spading
- Attempt similar progression with other levels and classes.
- Determine cause for spooky hockey mask drop. Is it mere chance, or are there other requirements?
Corrected your math on the SHM... it's less than 0.1% (1/1000), not necessarily less than 0.01% (1/10,000). --Hellion 17:03, 21 March 2007 (CDT)
- Quite right, I slipped. Thanks for catching it!--Dorf 17:46, 21 March 2007 (CDT)
