unspoilable

I removed the secret words from the edit history. Take that!--SomeStranger (t|c) 09:10, 26 June 2006 (CDT)

Thank you for being a jerk its not like they were spoiling anything in the edit history.--Practitioner of Saucy Arts 02:55, 3 July 2006 (CDT)

Why should this site spoil EVERYTHING in the game except for some magic words in the leaflet quest? I respect not including them on the main quest page, but why not include them somewhere? We tell you how to get every trophy, how to beat the naughty sorceress in explicit detail, how to solve every puzzle in the game. Yet the magic words are somehow off limits? I have yet to see a good explanation for this, and I would like one. What are we just not good enough for these hints, only the elite get them? SilverPalmLEAF 15:41, 24 July 2006 (CDT)

p.s. they are on the web on other sites. Why make this site less complete? Can we at least include a link to one of those other sites? SilverPalmLEAF 15:51, 24 July 2006 (CDT)

  • Note: Discussion moved here. Please post related comments there.--Dehstil (t|c) 22:23, 24 July 2006 (CDT)

I agree with SilverPalmLEAF. Every other possible scrap of information in KoL is hunted down a put in the wiki; why are these words so taboo? (I mention it here because it is no longer being discussed at the given link.)--LegendaryBard 15:18, 8 November 2006 (CST)

  • Never mind. Checked the discussion archive and found it. I still think it's silly that the Wiki doesn't have the words, but there isn't much I can do about it.--LegendaryBard 13:04, 10 November 2006 (CST)

Wanna link to that page instead? I can't find it (I'mma go look again) and I don't understand why they're not on there. --Santasassassin 17:31, 8 February 2007 (CST)

  • Oh. There. I'm blind. Here it is.
  • So 3 1/2 years later, are the words really still secret enough to be Banned From The Bible? Are the currently active admins still all in agreement about their exclusion? --Fxer 05:37, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
    • Ask not the admin of the wiki, but the admin of the game; the secret words are omitted from the wiki by request of Jick & Co. Of course, had you read the link provided right above what you posted, you'd already know that. --LegendaryBard 07:07, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
      • Come to think of it, maybe the reason for omitting the secret words should be put into the Notes section of both pages so that people will stop asking. --LegendaryBard 06:45, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
    • Yeah I had read that on the other page, but again, 3 1/2 years ago. Most mysterious is why Jick (supposedly) would care about this not being "spoiled" as opposed to the billion other things. Maybe an explanation of that would settle it one and for all. --Fxer 06:51, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
  • nothing has changed. well, on the wiki side, anyway. if this really bugs you (why? because you had to go somewhere else? *mocking laughter*) you could ask j&co on the radio as their feeling may be different by now. we'll respect their wishes as we always try to. --Evilkolbot 12:22, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
    • From the November 9, 2009 radio show: Q: Why aren't the leaflet secret codes on the wiki? Jick: I would like to think we could keep somethings secret. Sometimes people see that a word is blocked in chat, then they find a way to say it anyway, so meh. --Fxer 01:18, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
      • i'd like to thing he said "I would like to think we could keep some things secret" since the other way makes no sense. but, whichever, that's pretty clear. the meh is about the spoilage, not the desire to keep it secret. so, nothing has changed. --Evilkolbot 12:32, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

enough of that

And now for something completely different: When I did the quest, instead of saying "The one on the right is foaming and thick," the description said "The one on the right is thick and thick." Odd. --DementiaIncarnate 17:39, 8 May 2006 (CDT)

Doh! I was reading recent changes from the bottom up, saw the spoiling change and changed it...didn't see that Gymnosophist had already done that. Oh well. --J12601 08:43, 15 October 2006 (CDT)

What do I type if anything rather than a trophy is on there?--Stuntman021 21:05, 15 May 2007 (CDT)

You can type anything you like. Maybe "WIN GAME" or "SCORE" or "QUIT". Try lots of stuff. If you mean what are the secret words, sorry, but we can't help you here. It's our policy not to spoil them. You'll have to go elsewhere. --Clackling 14:55, 18 June 2007 (CDT)

Whose policy? I guess you mean the policy of someone high up the mod chain of editing this wiki. Or was it a majority vote by mods on this site? Either way it pretty much goes against the point of calling it a wiki if it's not user editable. 314159 12:06, 13 July 2007 (CDT)

Not sure who can do this, but the information on the giant needs to reflect the change from Poisoned to Hardly Poisoned At All. Everything else is the same.--Foggy 09:01, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

Just finished reading the book Ender's Game. The Giant's Drinks quotes match exactly with the Giant in this leaflet. --Raumthemad 01:21, 13 December 2007 (CST)

the secret words

sorry to be a spoiler but this site is a spoiler site and i think everything should be exposed so the words are: (now removed)--Kailo19 17:05, 24 March 2008 (CDT)

  • You may think that, but the administration of the wiki thinks otherwise. --TechSmurf 17:14, 24 March 2008 (CDT)

moar links?

Somewhere in all of the Strange Leaflet pages should be a link to the Greasemonkey script. --Telis R 01:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Update for random steps

Please update "Travel in any direction for a couple of steps." to something like "Travel in any direction for six turns." -- it's always six turns every time I've walked it, has anyone ever had it not be 6 turns? Ichi (talk)
