Advanced research?

So with the diphasic/triphasic molecular oculus, you can unlock advanced monster research. It says that the triphasic gives "improved" advanced research. If you research a species with the diphasic, can you then research it again once you have the triphasic, and gain the benefits of the improved advanced research, or does researching with the diphasic essentially mena less research overall, as you will get it only once, and less than if you had used the triphasic? --Jimfromtx (talk) 07:41, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
