Has anyone else noticed the phrase, Worthless Gewgaw, is used in Neil Gaiman's American Gods? It's on page 201 of the Author's Preferred Text version (not sure where in the first editions). The bit where Salim, a Salesman from Oman, is explaining what he does for a living, to a taxi driver

I don't know if this is worth putting in as a reference? Maybe it's a common phrase, but I wasn't particularly aware of it...

Just thought I'd raise it --Cheezehog 07:27, 2 August 2007 (CDT)

  • Look up "gewgaw" in a dictionary. Yeah, I don't think it's a reference either. --Quietust (t|c) 08:05, 2 August 2007 (CDT)
