Here is where I keep some tips for optimal ascending
Sewer Leveling
From RoyalTonberry:
Flavour + Jackasses' = +22 spell damage Intrinsic Spiciness at level 3 = +3 for Sauce spells Springy Fusilli as a support skill for +40% init Jabanero Saucesphere for MP returns. Bandersnatch for awesomeness. Sugar Chapeau and Mental A-cue-ity for +100% spell damage.
Assume you've got something like 30 buffed Myst.
Saucegeyser will do (at 20 myst, +25 spell damage, +100% spell damage): non-crit: [140, 142, 144, 146, 148, 150, 152, 154, 156, 158, 160] crit: [230, 234, 238, 242, 246, 250, 254, 258, 262, 266, 270]
or 150 average on a non-crit.
With a bandersnatch, geyser will cost 28 MP to cast, but Jabanero returns average of 8, and bandersnatch returns 14, making the net only 6 MP used. Bander-Geyser dominates other spells for Damage/MP. That chart is with Elemental tuning, but just divide all values by 2, then multiply all of them by 2, since that's not at +100% spell damage. It's a wash, and you get what's happening here.
So you're doing 150 average damage for 6 net MP, or 25 Damage/MP.
Enter combat with a Slimetube monster (or sewer monster, it's similar).
Slimetube monsters (with 5 squeezes) have 350 HP, so Entangling Noodles + 3 geysers will take them down, at a cost of 21 MP for that fight. However, A-cue-ity and chapeau give back an average of 14 MP, so that fight cost you 7 MP in total, for 3 Saucegeysers. Clearly the buffs also cost you something as well, but yeah.
This same method is what I use to kill the Sewer Monsters as a non-Sauceror. As a Sauceror, it's just silly, and you end up getting +25 MP per fight or something while going through the hobo sewers.

the rabbit hole might also be an option for fast substats (+50 per foodstuff), and scaling monsters with a lower barrier to entry
