Volante is an on-again/off-again character who has been through several dormant periods. He was first a Disco Bandit, and was named for the fictional ship, Disco Volante; not the real album.
He is the leader and sole member of a clan he did not start or name, Colonel Lingus' Carpet Chewers.
He has deletion immunity, but doesn't seem to recall ever owning a droid. Mr. Accessory.
