I started playing KoL because it was fucking awesome because a fucking awesome friend said it was fucking awesome, nuff said imo.

I started playing KoL July 18, 2005 and have been haveing a great time with it since. I've always been a fan of games and different types of games. KoL is the kind of game you can play for 10 minutes, an hour, 8 hours, or once a week. It doesnt matter and its always fun. Fit well into ever-changing schedules through highschool and beyond.

Currently my function in KoL is to farm meat. I like meat, meat is tasty. I farm meat. A meat farmer am I.

Takeing to heart the differention between multi use and multi abuse i now own 4 accounts and manage 3 others for friends. Using Werebear to prevent crossing the line to abuse i stick to his definition througholy. A multi can interact with another multi as long as there interactions are the same as any other user-to-user interactions in KoL. Trades staying in line with Mall prices no 1 meat trades or a dozen kmails accumulating wealth. Just a well ran group of accounts interacting as a small community that fuel me with 1000+ advs a day of KoL fun with no unfair profit setting me above everyone else.

I carry out a rampant MMG addiction on two of my four accounts (the ones rich by /newbie definition) I buy mr.a's to liquidate when my betting string goes farther then my wallet. I use a personolized and personaly discovered version of the well known Martigale betting system. It has worked wonders with a lifetime total of 36mil and 42mil on either account. I am more then happy to freely share my understanding of the Martigale system and the many functional variations i've come across. There is of course plenty of infomation of this topic already on Wiki. I just find a person-to-person explanation easier to grasp then looking at a table of statistics and figureing out a practical application from that table.

My biggest and near-only petpeeve about KoL is niches in it's community. Now I use /games as an example, even though it by no means is localized to /games. Right, Wrong, Honest, Nice, or Asshatish have no implication on who you are or how you are treated inside this channel. With an average age of 30+ on this game I can't help but wonder the draw to acting like we are all in Highschool again. The social judgment is just asshatish on its own. Despite the in chat definition you can some times find enough social chatter in this channel to flood an AR post off the screen within seconds with /game mods filling up a few lines of the said conversation. Topics cleary designated for /newbie/normal/foodcourt/veteran or/hardcore are all perfectly acceptable in the now defined social /games channel. With a community more then willing to mass /baleet someone with an almost hive-like mentality of protecting their 'precious'.

Another great example of this niche community riht here on Wiki from the time of the NPZR rollout. Two perfectly nice members of the KoL community. Snikles (a wiki admin) and Balam member of the NPZR clan and established KoL user. In response to the DEV request and offical start to the now established 48 hour rule. Established wiki community members treated the request like an order from god. Recipie proofchecking entrys in the discussion page were deleted. a bold warning on the main NPZR page discourageing any spoiler at all even on the discussion page was most obviously out of place and continualy replaced when edited. And without any wiki admin interest in this half of it I (arrogantly but still fucking right) took up the flag and kept reposting the full recipie on the wiki main NPZR page and it's discussion page. This (partialy because balam bitched to snickles) got the admin attention needed on that page and I eventually backed off to leaving it in the discussion page with a modified version of the original Warning against spoilers to a well written Request informing people interseted in spoilers to check the discussion page. In the end the mature compromise of halfway was only obtainable by being a jackass myself and pushing the opposite extreme from the jackasses deemed Veteran KoL players. A reveleaing look into the biast mindset of these community types can be seen in a quote from balam on snickles page about me and my view of the world ^_^ don't you love hipocrites.

So just remember. The community isn't right because its the community. You've got as many established and community supported jackasses as you do 1-day new hotmail jackasses in /newbie. And Mods do not know the policy any better then any other person, they just have a better track record.

I just threw this together look forward to fancy schmancy wiki editing forthcoming.
