Carrying Capacity

Are any items which once gave bonus Carrying Capacity missing? Any added dates/information would be appreciated.

Carrying Capacity refers to the maximum number of items you could carry in your inventory. Containers were originally designed to increase this. Like for hats or pants, there is an equipmenty slot for a container. Early on, it was decided that limited carrying capacity was a bad idea, so it was dropped. Containers still exist in the game, but are very rare. Because of the removal of Carrying Capacity, these items were entirely useless until February 12, 2006, when enchantments were added to them which slightly increasing item drops or meat drops.
