This page discusses a defunct game mechanic. It is no longer in use.

Carrying Capacity refers to the maximum number of items you could carry in your inventory. Containers were originally designed to increase this. Like for hats or pants, there is an equipment slot for a container. Early on, it was decided that limited carrying capacity was a bad idea, so it was dropped. Containers still exist in the game, but except for the TΤ◊lisman of Baiø‡ they are very rare. Because of the removal of Carrying Capacity, these items were entirely useless until February 12, 2006, when enchantments were added to them which slightly increased item drops or meat drops.

Containers were officially removed from the game on June 28th, 2012. With the exception of the Radio KoL Coffee Mug which became an accessory, the other containers were folded into the newly created back item slot.
