A Fairly Large Fairy
You tunnel into an underground cavern that is dimly lit by phosphorescent rocks in the walls and ceiling. There's a pool of water at the end of the cavern, fed by a steady drip from the ceiling above. You rest for a minute, enjoying the serene silence and the soft lapping of the water at the shores of the pond. Your mind clears as you fall into an almost meditative state -- "A-HA-HA-HA!" an unholy shriek jolts you out of your reverie, a grotesque parody of a woman's laugh. The water in the pond roils, and a hugely obese woman rises from it, improbably suspended by tiny fairy wings. You leap backwards, but the fairy leans over you and says, "relax, adventurer, and let me heal your wounds." She waves her wand, and you feel a little better. Then she disappears, and that makes you feel even better still.
