discrepancy

usage example has:

|name=Limey Bastard Booty

used example has:

|name=lime|Limey Bastard Booty

what is going on? --Evilkolbot 14:02, 11 April 2012 (CEST)

  • I was looking at this yesterday: I assume whoever created it wanted the result to link to lime instead of creating a redlink to Limey Bastard Booty. I'm not sure that there's a good way to accomplish this which doesn't break the displayed name, and I'm not sure why the </div> tag at the bottom is mismatched, either. --timrem 15:31, 11 April 2012 (CEST)

Of effects and outfit pages

I'm going to start adding the summary of all of the effects to the outfit pages in the notes. Using the 8-Bit_Finery as an example, the line:

Because the sword imparts a +15% boost to Initiative, the outfit overall adds +40% to Initiative.

would be replaced with: With this:

Wearing the full outfit provides the following bonuses:
All Attributes +2
40% Combat Initiative
15% from pixel sword and 25% outfit bonus
+10 Maximum HP/Maximum MP

To make it clear, all the effects of the outfit would be listed, and if the effects of the items overlap, then a quick list of where the total comes from. Is this format alright? Should there be any changes to it?--Azsedcf (talk) 08:25, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

  • I think the basic idea is good. But breaking down bonuses into all their sources (like Combat Initiative in your example) seems like a bit too much to me. If someone is interested in these values, he'd be interested in the outfit as a whole anyway. If not, he can still look into the individual equipment enchantments but would most likely use the bonus' pages for searching. The only exception I would see is the Luniform, where you actually can choose your weapon. There, it would make sense to list two sets of values.
Also HP and MP Modifiers should get separate lines. --Yatsufusa (talk) 09:30, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
    • So more like:
Wearing the full outfit provides the following bonuses:
All Attributes +2
40% Combat Initiative
+10 Maximum HP
+10 Maximum MP

      • Exactly. But that might be more of a personal preference. Since what you're planning looks like a lot of work (unless you can find someone to bot it in a complicated/clever way), you might want to wait for some input on this. --Yatsufusa (talk) 20:51, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
