You stop to take in a show that some of the Medieval peasants are putting on. They've marked out a circle in the mud and sprinkled straw on it to make a little makeshift theater-in-the-round.
"The name of the game is Vilification Tennis," the actor in charge says. "Our performers will take turns insulting each other, and I will award points and determine the winner."
"Then the show is over, and we're all winners!" you say, unable to stop yourself.
Thankfully, the actor in charge appreciates your wit, and you get called up to lob insults. You're so good at it that the show devolves into a mudfight by the end of it, the audience is vastly entertained, and they tip the actors generously.
You walk away covered in mud and straw, holding a fine leather first-prize ribbon.
