You're fighting an ancient unspeakable bugbearCenturies ago, a sect of bugbear shamans discovered that the use of a spice they called "Minaj" allowed them to step outside of time and space to transport themselves across great distances almost instantaneously. There were only a few negative side effects: nausea, sensitivity to light, growth of horrific tentacles and fangs, that kind of thing. Those who have tripped the Minaj the longest exist in eight or nine dimensions at once, and are sanity-bruising monsters in all of them.
