Aquabat You're fighting the Aquabat

You step into the boss bat's stronghold. Instead of walking down into a cave, though, you end up swimming in chest-deep water. It's seriously flooded down here. You also don't see any sign of the two-headed bat you've come to know and loathe.

Then the water at the end of the cave begins to swirl and coalesce, rising up and forming into the shape of an aqueous bat.

"Adventurer!" he shouts. "The Rain King sends his regards!"

Hit Message(s):

He pulls out a skateboard and hits you with it. Eek! Oof! Oof!

He chomps on you with watery teeth, like it's pizza day and you're a slice. Ouch! Ooh! Oof!

He whaps you with his watery wing. It's anything but super rad. Ugh! Ow! Ugh!

He shouts, "CHARGE!" and rushes at you, scratching you with watery claws. Ow! Ooh! Ouch!

One of his eyes pops out and floats around the room. It's really spooky. Ugh! Oof! Ooh! (spooky damage)

He gives you a watery headbutt. It's crazy, man! Eek! Oof! Ow!

Critical Hit Message:

He pulls water from the huge puddle on the cave floor and grows bigger, swelling until he almost fills the room. He bellows at you with earth-quaking rage, and you quail before the fury of the Aquabat. Argh! Eek! Oof! (spooky damage)

Occurs at The Boss Bat's Lair.

Notes

  • Damage dealt to the Aquabat has a hard cap of 12 damage per source and round. However multiple sources of damage are caped individually, allowing for higher damage to be dealt per round.
  • Setting the monster aggravation device to different values doesn't cause additional items to drop like it does with the Boss Bat.
