Autopsy Auturvy
The patient lies etherised on a table, like a patient etherised on a table. Except the patient is a vicious invading bugbear, and instead of etherised, it appears to be dead.
The morticians look at you expectantly. You consider the organs before you.
Remove the brain |
You remove the brain and think about it. Looks like it was done in by impure thoughts. Or maybe some kind of... grubs? It's sort of hard to tell the difference, given your zero years of medical training.
The tweezers you used dissolve in the caustic fluid. Rats.
Remove the heart |
You take out the heart and look deep within it. It seems to have been broken at the sight of the native bugbears having fallen so far from glory. It'd be sad if that wasn't also something that made it so humans still exist on this planet.
The tweezers you used dissolve in the caustic fluid. Rats.
Remove the lungs |
You take out the lungs and sniff them. There are isolated pockets of dust, local allergens, and about a pound of powdered sugar -- looks like he was sampling the local culture at the Knob a little, if you know what I mean...
The tweezers you used dissolve in the caustic fluid. Rats.
Remove the liver |
You take out the liver. More like a die-er, am I right? I am. You can tell by looking at it.
The tweezers you used dissolve in the caustic fluid. Rats.
Remove the sclubbo |
You take out the sclubbo. If you were at all familiar with bugbear anatomy, you'd know what it was for, and maybe what caused all of this stuff that you can only assume is damage.
The tweezers you used dissolve in the caustic fluid. Rats.
Leave |
You step slowly away from the table a few paces, then turn around and bolt for the door as fast as you can.
Occurs at Morgue.
Notes
- Trying to remove an organ without bugbear autopsy tweezers fails, with the message:
- You try to remove the organ, but you don't have the right tool for the job...
- Maybe if you beat up one of the morticians and stole one of those pairs of tweezers they use...You step slowly away from the table a few paces, then turn around and bolt for the door as fast as you can.
