Notes

• Provides 12-15 "appropriate" lumber and 12-15 "appropriate" fasteners to help bridge The Orc Chasm. When you click on the bridge above the Chasm:

You examine the bridge you've been carrying around. It's not long enough to span the Orc Chasm, but it turns out it's of smut orc manufacture. How convenient!

You disassemble it into usable lumber and fasteners.

You acquire 4−5 morningwood planks

You acquire 4−5 raging hardwood planks

You acquire 4−5 weirdwood planks

You acquire 4−5 thick caulks

You acquire 4−5 long hard screws

You acquire 4−5 messy butt joints

History

• Before the November 15, 2012 revamp, the bridge was necessary and sufficient to bridge The Orc Chasm:

You approach the Orc Chasm, and whip out your trusty bridge. You place the bridge across the chasm, and the path to the Valley is clear.

• The abridged dictionary was removed from Barrrtleby's Barrrgain Bookstore on December 31, 2018, so this item is no longer obtainable.

References

• "You could use it for crossing things, or to keep trolls under." refers to the fairy tale Three Billy Goats Gruff, in which three goats must cross a bridge with a troll under it who wants to eat them.
