He does (leaving you wondering how a non-corporeal stick is capable of moving the balls around,) and though the balls scatter across the table into a changing constellation, nothing sinks. You see Orion, and say nothing.

You decide to go for the stripes. You make a handful of shots, but then accidentally knock in the 8-ball and lose.
You get angry and try to break the cue stick over your knee. It turns out that these cues are pretty well-made, and all you succeed in doing is getting a very brief workout and bruising your leg.
