Sometimes items are discontinued -- removed from the zones where they formerly dropped, or removed as crafting outcomes. Usually such items are not removed from players' inventories; they remain as oddities, sometimes considered valuable by collectors due to their scarcity.
Some items were discontinued and then reintroduced in the I Refuse! adventure.
