Celebrate the Love, Nub Nub!
As you wander through the Arrrboretum, you see that someone's built a really elaborate tree house -- almost a tree village -- in several large trees that have somehow escaped being harrrvested by the pirates. You walk over for a closer look.
As you get close to the tree village, you hear a sharp *snap*, followed by a whooshing noise, followed by the whole world going upside-down. You feel a knot building up on the back of your head, where you whacked it as you were yanked up into the trees. You've been caught in some kind of handmade, low-tech trap!
A bunch of adorable pygmy bugbears cut you down and take you up into the tree village. As they tie you to a pole over a firepit, they jabber at you in some kind of nonsense language. They're so amazingly, unbelievably cute that you could cheerfully slaughter them all.
Fortunately, before they can roast you alive, the pygmy bugbears have to go fend off an army of attacking Magitech Mechamechs. The bugbears win the battle, despite the fact that they're fighting hyper-advanced technology with bows and arrows. It's actually a little pathetic. But you manage to slip your bonds and sneak away during the fray. You plant your sapling and resolve to never mess with a pygmy bugbear.
