"This is the Council of Loathing speaking. As you may have noticed, some sort of weird tower has appeared in the middle of Seaside Town, and everybody is in a panic. We find that in times of strife such as these, the best course of action is to occupy the populace with petty infighting and pointless tribalism. As such, all citizens are required to pick a team. Or you could let us pick for you, and be rewarded with 10 Chroners.

If you don't know what Chroners are yet, don't worry. Suffice to say that they are great and you want them."

Notes

• Occurs as a result of choosing a team at the phone booth during The Time-Twitching Tower event.
• "I don't want to decide yet" doesn't consume an adventure, and sends you back to the Phone Booth.
• Puts you on either the Time Lord team or the Time Bandit team, which was a previously relevant distinction in previous Time-Twitching Tower events but is not relevant in current events for new or established players.
• However, returning players with old accounts (pre-June 22, 2014, probably) will still get the three rewards of the team they choose mailed to them the next time they visit the Main Map:
  • Time Lords: Time Lord Participation Mug, Chroner trigger, Time Cloak
  • Time Bandits: Time Bandit Time Towel, Chroner cross, Time Cape
