You encounter one of the strange rock formations that this planet is covered with.

You grab some loose rocks and head back to the Spacegate.

With the geological sample kit equipped:
| Take a core sample |
You place your geology kit on top of the formation and press the button that makes it drill out a core sample. Now those nerds back at the Spacegate Facility will know what's inside of a tall rock!

Notes
- Rock sampling is dependent on the first planet coordinate.
- Taking a core sample yields 2 more alien rock samples than grabbing some of the rocks.
