You built this custom ghost-catching trap out of old vacuum-cleaner parts, plus the radiation-shielding from an old microwave oven for the containment vessel. It's not pretty, but it should work fine. Probably.
I mean, the chances of it tearing open a cross-dimensional hole in spacetime or something are very, very low.
