- “The sour ones” refers to Aesop's fable of “The Fox and the Grapes,” in which a fox is unable to reach some grapes, so he concludes they must be too sour anyway (from which the idiom “sour grapes” originates).
- "These are fun!" refers to "Grapes are fun!", a catchphrase of Xandir, a character in the animated reality show Drawn Together.
