hors d'oeuvre tray
This is a polished metal tray used to carry hors d'oeuvres around a fancy party. That's not what you're going to use it for, though. You're going to use it to deflect the blows of those that mean to harm you.
It's not quite shiny enough to be useful against a gorgon (though it was once used to serve some delicious gorgonzola) but it's shiny enough to throw your opponents a little bit off guard.

- At some point on or before October 2, 2014, this was silently adjusted from Combat Initiative +20% to its current stats. It also had 7 Damage Reduction, required 40 Muscle, and had an autosell of 115.
References
- In Clash of the Titans, Perseus causes Medusa, the most famous of the Gorgons, to see her reflection in his shield. In the original Greek myth, Perseus approached Medusa by looking in a polished shield, rather than look at her directly, because anyone who looked Medusa in the eye would be turned into stone.
- Gorgonzola is a type of cheese.
