You're fighting The Knob Goblin BeastThe Knob Goblin King freaks out when you enter. "Alarm!" he yells. "An intruder! A horrible beast!" He grabs a fistful of bright red mushrooms from a tray, and crams them in his mouth.
"My liege, no!" cries the servant holding the tray. "Not the red ones to eating! Those are full of lycopene!"
He undergoes a horrible transformation, which for brevity's sake I'll just say is roughly similar to your own transformation, except since goblins are fungoid creatures it's a much squishier process. Did you ever see Akira? It's a little like that, except instead of a giant tentacle baby you end up with a sort of mushroomy werewolf.

He claws your <throat> with his terrible... claws. Actually I guess they're pretty good claws. Just not for you.
He grabs you with arms like steel cables despite their fungal composition, and twists you into funny pretzel shapes.
He hurls his crown at you furiously, with no particular grace or coordination. It still hurts like hell when it bounces off your <throat>. (And then he picks it up and puts it back on, in case this attack happens again.)
His head -- and a good chunk of his upper torso -- splits open into a gigantic maw bristling with razor-sharp fangs. It's not a fun mouth to get chomped by!
You leap back out of his reach, but his arms stretch out in a horrible way, clawing you from a much greater distance than you were expecting.
He tries to throw his crown at you, but his head grew into it weird and it's stuck.
He tries to grapple you, but his arms stretch out weird and get tangled into knots.
His whole head reconfigures into a gigantic mouth to chomp you with, except he gets it wrong and ends up with two huge pillowy lips that just give you a big wet kiss.
He tries to juggle at you, but his newfound strength just crushes one of the glass balls in his fist. He howls in pain and fury, and also because those are expensive. (FUMBLE!)
