Machines!

Machines!
You manage to evade the batbugbears long enough to get to the three machines you noticed earlier.
The pinging machines goes *PING*.
The whurming machine goes whurm.
The boomchucking machine goes *boomchuck*...
Wanna mess with any of the knobs?

If you set the Pinging Machine to 1:
- The pinging sounds a little too slow.
If you set the Pinging Machine to 2:
- The pinging machine sounds just like an old submarine movie. It's really satisfying.
If you set the Pinging Machine to 3 through 5:
- The pinging sounds a little too fast.
If you set the Pinging Machine to 6 through 11:
- The pinging sounds way too fast.
If you set the Whurming Machine to 2 times the current setting of the Pinging Machine:
- The whurming matches up with the pinging in a nice rhythm. You can't help tapping your toes.
Otherwise:
- The whurming is out of sync with the pinging -- it's really annoying.
If you set the Boomchucking Machine to 2 times the current setting of the Whurming Machine:
- The boomchucking provides a nice backbeat for the whurming.
Otherwise:
- The boomchucking isn't matching up with the whurming properly. It's impossible to dance to it.
Setting the final device to the proper setting (Pinging: 2, Whurming: 4, Boomchucking: 8):
- The noises combine in perfect harmony. Well, I guess it'd be more perfect if it was musical notes instead of noises, but whatever.
- The batbugbears around you start acting weird...
Occurs in Sonar.
Notes
- You can set only one dial at a time; each setting costs an adventure.
- The adventure description will have a number of *PING*, whurm, and *boomchuck*... sounds equal to the setting of each knob.
References
- The machine that goes "ping" is a reference to the Hospital Sketch from Monty Python's Meaning of Life.
