Malice in Chains

Malice in Chains
Malice in Chains

On a dirt road outside of Cobb's Knob, you trip over a rock and knock yourself briefly unconscious on a different, larger (and sharper) rock.

When you come to, you find yourself in a chain gang, being forced to haul sewage in and out of the Knob. You're not quite sure why they're taking sewage into the Knob, but yours is not exactly to reason why, given the circumstances.

One way or another, this servitude must come to an end. But how?

Serve your sentence

You decide to take it like a man (or woman, we're not making any value judgements here) and serve your sentence. Luckily, it turns out that your sentence is only a couple of hours. You get a good workout from all of the sewage hauling. Even your fingers get stronger, due to the vigor with which the job requires you to hold your nose.

You gain 4-5 Strengthliness.

Rise and revolt

You decide to convince your fellow prisoners to rise up with you in rebelling against your Knob Goblin captors. Unfortunately, they're all pretty comfortable with the status quo, and your speech falls on deaf ears.

Unfazed, you decide to conduct the revolution single-handedly. Grunting and straining, you drag the entire chain gang away from the Knob to freedom. It's quite a workout.

You gain 6-8 Beefiness.

Well, not entirely. It falls on mostly deaf ears, but also the non-deaf ears of your guard, who responds by hitting you on the head with the butt of his scimitar.

HPYou lose 1-? hit points.

Plot a cunning escape

You lay low until you notice that the Knob Goblin guarding you has dozed off. Then you slip out of your chains (they weren't very tight) and charge him. Unsurprisingly, you take him by surprise.
