Greetings, fellow Mer-kin-kin!
Do you like that word? I coined it myself to refer to people like us. You know, people who know that despite our hateful smooth skin, two separate functional legs, and lack of gills, deep down in our souls we truly are Mer-kin.
Yes, yes, I know it's Halloween. Halloween is the one time of year that you can dress like your true self without facing the mockery of your ignorant peers! Someday, though, I promise you will find the courage to reveal your Mer-kin self every day of the year.

- Named after two members of The Monkees, namely Michael Nesmith and Davy (not Davey) Jones. As the Mer-kin Gladiators were named by stringing together names of The Beatles in a similar way, and the Monkees were a Beatles parody band, this is appropriate.
