- This item is similar to the enemy bait in the 1987 NES game, The Legend of Zelda.
- "Expert Baiter" is a synonym for "Master Baiter."
- Also refers to an audience participation response at the Rocky Horror Picture Show: "Leave him alone, he's monster baiting!" or "Rocky! Show us how you monster bait!"
- The picture for this item is spookily similar to the "meaty bone" item from Dragon Quest, which is thrown to monsters to pacify them.
