No Country Music for Old Men

You swim into the Dive Bar, pausing to let your eyes adjust to the dim light, and to let your expectations adjust to your shabby surroundings. It's a pretty depressing scene: lounge lizardfish try to pick up disinterested alewives; a group of lost soles tries to drown their sorrows, only to find that their sorrows have gills; a seahorse asks for a drink, only to be told, "why the long face?" You spot an ancient Sea Monkee in the corner, studying a grimy racing form and nursing a beer. He's being pestered by a couple of younger hipster Sea Monkees, here to soak up the ironic ambiance and cheap booze.

"Gramps! Hey, Gramps!" one of the younger Monkees says. "The jukebox is broken again. Do that thing that fixes it."

"Do that thing that fixes it," Grandpa says in a high-pitched, mocking voice. "Kids these days. No respect! No 'please' or 'thank you!' Someone ought to take you over their knee."

He turns around and buries his nose in his drink. This probably isn't the right time to approach him. You wait and see if his mood improves.

Occurs at The Dive Bar. A one-time adventure.
