You spot some odd scratches on the railing of the airship, next to the gangplank, and stop to take a closer look.

It appears to be a line of hobo glyphs. Using your binder to translate what you can and working the rest out from context, they appear to read "Will accept hitchhikers, but will spend six weeks grinding identical monsters and doing endless pointless sidequests before actually heading to their destination."

That sort of explains why they're still hovering over the Kingdom after all this time, I guess. You jot some more notes down in your binder.

Occurs in The Penultimate Fantasy Airship.

  • The message obtained from decoding the glyphs alludes to just about every single RPG in existence (including this one!), riddled with sidequests and many points where you're grinding very similar monsters over and over again.
  • The title of the adventure could refer to the famous real-life hobo A-no-1.
  • Some of the glyphs are actual hobo signs.
