- This is an alliterative reference to Dungeons & Dragons "adventure" scenarios, which were originally called "modules".
- An "oubliette" is a type of dungeon.
- The mention of different colors of lipstick is a reference to the urban legend of rainbow parties. Rainbow parties, like Dungeons and Dragons, have been used by conservative critics as "evidence" of the decaying morality of modern youth.
