Power

Power is one of the attributes of equipment. It has several different meanings:

  • On weapons, power is related to Weapon Damage. The power is equal to the high-damage range times 5.
  • On hats, shirts and pants, power adds to your Damage Absorption. (With Tao of the Terrapin, the power of hats and pants is doubled, but an item's direct Damage Absorption enchantment is not.)
  • The power of most equipment determines what you get when you Pulverize it. This applies even for accessories, offhand items and back items whose power ratings are not visible, but can be found by looking at its API info (api.php?what=item&for=Curiosity&id=# where # is the item ID and the for= parameter is a description of why you are calling the API, but you must have the item in your possession)

History

  • Before September 5, 2012, weapons displayed their power value directly, instead of a damage range. Weapons equipped in the offhand slot (with Double-Fisted Skull Smashing) still display their power in inventory instead of a damage range.
