You wander into a yurt in the hippy camp and see an assembly line set up for making bulletproof corduroys. At the first station, hippies are taking new, clean bolts of cloth and cutting the pants out of them. At the second station, more hippies are sewing together the pants, presumably with some kind of 100% hemp, cruelty-free, pesticide-hostile thread.

At the third station, hippies are scooping all manner of mud, muck and filth from big buckets and smearing, grinding, and rubbing the muck into the finished pants. While that seems a little strange, it's no stranger than what Loathing Eagle does to their T-shirts.

"Hey, man," a female hippy says. "You still haven't joined the boys fighting the war? Wow, that's, like, such a bold choice, man. I seriously applaud your commitment to peace and love."

"Well, actually," you say, "I just haven't finished putting together my uniform yet. Any way I could have one of those pairs of pants?"

She looks at you like you've just grown another head. "Of course you can," she says. "They, like, belong to all of us, man, in the true socialist spirit of sharing and giving."

"Riiiiight." You grab a pair of corduroys and get out of there before you get any socialism on you.

You acquire an item: bullet-proof corduroys

Occurs at The Hippy Camp (Wartime) in Filthy Hippy Disguise.
